Dubai Electricity & Water Authority (DEWA) could possibly award the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for its Glass reinforced Epoxy Water Transmission Pipelines project, worth an estimated $75 million, in the second quarter of 2023, reports ZAWYA.
According to a source close to the project, the tender for the EPC contract was issued on 18 January 2023 and the contract is expected to be awarded by early May 2023.
The source added that the project is expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2025 and estimates the project will cost $75 million.
The project includes the supply, installation, testing and commissioning Glass reinforced Epoxy water transmission pipeline network and associated works.
According to DEWA’s website, the commercial bidders included: Al Nasr Contracting Company LLC, Al Shirawi Infrastructure Construction, Binladin Contracting Group, China Tiesiju Civil Engineering Group, Dhafir Technologies, Green Oasis General Contracting Co, KASCOD Contracting Co, Nael Construction and Contracting, SYED Contracting, Tristar Engineering & Construction, Wade Adams Contracting.
